Warranty and Returns

Holland Vision Systems Inc. makes this limited warranty to the original purchaser at retail of this product. This warranty is not transferable.

Holland Vision Systems Inc. warrants this product for 13 months from the date of wholesale purchase or one year from date of purchase at retail, whichever comes first, against defective material or workmanship. If such should occur, this unit will be repaired or replaced at the option of the manufacturer. It is the obligation of the purchaser to promptly forward the unit together with proof of purchase, description of the problem, with transportation and/or mailing charges prepaid to the manufacturer or its authorized representative. Delays in sending malfunctioning units for service may inhibit HVS from taking measures which prevent failure of additional units and may be grounds for denying warranty claims.

Holland Vision Systems’ liability is limited to (at Holland Vision Systems’ election) (1) refund of the original price paid to Holland Vision Systems for such product, (2) repair of the product, or (3) replacement of the product with the same or a comparable item. Holland Vision Systems shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any nature including, without being limited to, business interruption costs, shipping cost, removal/reinstallation/service costs, loss of profit, promotional or manufacturing expenses, overhead, injury to reputation or loss of customers. Holland Vision Systems’ liability for any claim shall not exceed the original price paid to Holland Vision Systems for such Products irrespective of the nature of the claim.

This limited warranty is void if the product is misused, improperly installed, exposed to chemicals, lubricants or cleaners, connected to a power supply which does not meet requirements, subjected to careless handling, subjected to excessive vibration or mechanical shock, damaged due to the characteristics of the electrical power supply used, or repaired, opened or modified by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized representative.

Damage to wiring, cables and connectors is not covered. HVS warrants only that cables and connectors will function as-shipped. Any damage caused by the power supply the system is connected to is expressly excluded from warranty. HVS does not warrant that the products provided will be compatible with any other customer equipment.

Electric motors are excluded from warranty as they may be jammed or otherwise subjected to conditions that cause premature failure. HVS warrants only that motors and mechanisms will function as-shipped.

The image that appears on the monitor may be affected by truck electrical noise, Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) given off by truck mechanisms or other radio energy present in the environment, the presence of terminal strips, cable reels, other connections or accessories, or other factors caused by the forklift or operating environment, hence, image quality is not guaranteed.

This warranty does not cover any batteries included with the system. While the batteries supplied are of high quality, many factors affect battery life including recharge history, depth of discharge, whether the battery was left in discharged condition, impacts and vibration, and operating temperature.

The manufacturer makes no warranty other than this limited warranty and expressly excludes any implied warranty including any warranty for consequential damages.

This is the only limited warranty and the manufacturer neither assumes nor authorizes anyone to assume or make any other obligation towards the product other than this express limited warranty. The manufacturer makes no warranty of merchantability or fitness for purpose of this product and expressly excludes such from this limited warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or length of implied warranty so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

1. Any parts to be considered for full return-credit must be unused and undamaged. If HVS bears some blame for the situation, that requirement may be waived. HVS must inspect the parts first to be considered for credit. Call and request an RMA number to send the parts for consideration, which will be issued at HVS’ discretion.
2. Returns after 90 days are accepted only at HVS’ discretion. A 4% per month restock fee will be applied. A minimum 25% restock fee will be applied.
3. Custom, specialized, or rarely-sold products will not be accepted. 
4. No credit for batteries or parts with obsolete revision levels will be given.
5. Any credit issued for returned items will first be applied to any overdue balance on the account before issuing any refund.
