Basic Troubleshooting Checklist

  1. Power off both the display and camera.
  2. Power on only the display.
  3. Initiate the pairing process on the display.
  4. Power on the camera after starting the pairing process on the display.
  5. Wait for the devices to establish a connection.
  6. Successful pairing is indicated by an image appearing on the display.

  • Ensure both the display and camera have power.
  • Check if the lighted buttons on the display are on.
  • Verify if the LED on converters (such as HVS8958) is lit.
  • Check the fuse.
  • Was the system previously working?
  • Are connections crimped properly?

  • Confirm proper pairing between the camera and display.
  • For systems with a height sensor, ensure the forks are raised high enough to trigger the sensor.

Verify if the components are connected to a circuit capable of supplying enough current. Preferably, use a two (2) amp circuit or better. Avoid low power signal circuits.

Consider swapping components with a system that you know is working to isolate the issue.

  • Make sure both units are powered on
  • Test truck power – ensure compatibility with the system and adequate voltage (voltage requirements are listed on the product sticker).
  • Check for physical damage and inspect connections and wires. For wires with a snakeskin cover, you might not be able to see the damage, so feel for bumps, breaks, dents, or severed cords.

Check the battery! Make sure that the battery is turned on while charging. This is a common mistake!

  • Make sure the forks are raised. Are you raising the forks at least 18 inches?
  • Ensure there are no obstructions to the sensor.
