Damage to racks occurs from tugger operators turning corners too tightly. Pedestrians may be injured.
New operators cause increased damage and they often lack a sense of responsibility. Inexperienced operators are more common due to high worker turnover.
Worker productivity suffers since the operator must be careful to drive without causing problems.

Using an HVS camera system:

The operator can see the train behind him by glancing at the LCD monitor while still looking forward.
A sturdy camera pole raises the camera to get a better perspective of the train behind the operator.
Compact video recorders document safety incidents, damage, and operator actions, promoting operator accountability. Network-enabled recorders allow remote viewing by management.
Product damage and safety incidents decrease.
